Baby Swaddle Sack..

It's been 2 weeks since we entered year 2017, Alhamdulillah for all the blessings. I sure hope things are going well for all of you too! Actually I wanted to share with you my first crochet custom baby swaddle sack aka cocoon (bedung kait in Malay) that I made for my client recently. She ordered it as a prop for her baby's first photoshoot. She just gave birth somewhere in the first week of January. I figured it was meant to be a baby announcement photoshoot.

I happily accepted her request as I also have been planning to make a baby cocoon since last year, so that I could budget the yarn usage and the time consume needed in order to complete one. To my surprise it doesn't take that long, I was manage to get the cocoon done within 4 days. I think if I go for a simple hdc/dc cocoon pattern I could've finish it earlier. I pick a paid pattern of pretty wave-yish design I bought from ravelry, here's the link to the site http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easter-chick-snuggle-sack-set if you wish to have a look. I just switch the cute chick beanie to a simple bear beanie with ears and since this set is made for a baby girl, hence the color used; pink, baby pink, ivory and light grey. With finished measurement of 14'5" in length and 9" wide, I think it should be a nice cocoon sack for a baby to snuggle in 😁. Together with it, she requested a set of headband and shoes with co-ordinating colors 😍.

I do pray and hope the mommy will love her baby's prop, which is schedule to be taken on this coming 16th! Now it's only a matter of time, I just have to wait for the photos (feeling hopeful she'd share it with me) soon! I will update when she does, insha Allah 😁

For now, here are some photos of the baby swaddle sack set that I manage to take before sending them off to its new home! 😍

Kind of sweet right? Well, I know I had a good challenging time working on this set πŸ˜… and surely looking forward for more new makes I'll be getting myself into. Do stay tuned and please remember your endless support towards my handmade and other makers out there means the world to us.

Kawaiii Kiko..

This plush actually took me a while to complete (...like all my projects lol πŸ™Š) but Alhamdulillah, finally I'm happy to share with you all that Kiko the Monkey has safely reached his new home 😍 Measuring 5 inches in heights and weighing just about a soft toys should be hahaha.. I think he's the cutest lil' creature I've ever made, with his poseable arms and tails to make him sit around and hugging his favourite fruit of all; the banana! Of course lil' Kiko won't be possible if it weren't for the wonderful  and talented crocheter Stephanie from All About Ami who generously shared her pattern for free! I thank you Stephanie for helping me turned the wish of a new mommy-to-be into a reality.

A lil' snippet while I worked on Kiko's bottom back then heheh πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

Even before putting him together, he already looked sooo cute ❤️❤️❤️

While working on him, it did made me feel a bit sad cuz after our long weeks together he will be departed to his new home, one of the perks of being a maker huhuhu..but I know deep down I should be happy cuz over at his new home NOW he'll be loved, cherished and admired by his soon to be born owner πŸ‘ΆπŸ»πŸŽ‰ and that's what keeps me going with what I enjoy doing most! All in all, it was super fun and I hope this little monkey will add a lot of fun to the nursery! 🐡 πŸ’ 🐡. Thank you Wendy of The Diary of a Miniature Enthusiast. Hope everything will go smooth for you and the baby! Oh, if you guyz are a fan of handmade bracelets do check out her instagram (@theminidiary) for loads of charming pretty vintage bracelets she has to offer!

Our first Granny squares blanket.

Alhamdulillah, happy to share with you, now the granny squares blanket I've been working on since end of December 2015 is all DONE! Measuring 34"x 34" and made with pure natural cotton using boy theme colors in sky blue, ash grey and solid white, I'm thankful for the opportunity and trust my client has given me.

I realise while making this blanket has taught me that I am capable of more than I give myself credit for, and that I am stronger than I think. As with everything in life, there are challenges, but we also learn through them and come out stonger in the end.

I pray the lucky little boy (which is due somewhere this April) will treasure this blanket, so one day he can pass it on to his little boy! Insha Allah, Amiin ;)

Crocheted Mini Bag..

Next in my list of order was a simple mini tote bag. A customer of mine requested it to be made to fit in two regular size formula's bottles for her lil' princess. I started to imagine how the bag will look like. At first I just do plain DCs' in rows, but since my yarn is quite the soft ones, it doesn't give the sturdier look that I've imagine and they look kind of thin hehehe..so I pull the stitches apart which I had worked like almost 50% over and started to look around at google and youtube for more ideas, cuz being a self taught crocheter and trying to create something from scratch it ain't easy. I needed inspiration! There I found one .. A japanesse tutorial, with no subs to understand what she was talking about. I then just mute her and go on slowly thru her actions from the video tutorial in order to learn what she was doing. At last I managed too, luckily she was very precise and her video was exactly focusing on what she was doing. Alhamdulillah, now the product is finish and I must say I'm very pleased with it, especially with the weaving effect it has. I just can't wait to give it to her. Hope she'll be happy with it and I'm glad that I got to learn this new kind of stitch, its just beautiful <3 <3 <3

Oh and by the way, I just learned that this beautiful stitches are called "Basket Weave Stitch" Perfect for a lil' cute bag don't you think so?  ;)

Baby Owl Giftset..

Took the liberty of customizing a giftcard on behalf of my lovely customer who'll be gifting this cute babyset to her brother's newborn. Actually she doesn't even know it herself hehehe.. I love the idea of making someone's day even in a smaller way and adding a greeting card is something people will always cherish especially if the card was a customade according to the babyset theme; OWL

Hehehe "Owl-ways Love You, Baby!" I've seen this phrase somewhere before that I immediately thought it'll be a cute caption to the giftcard..Alhamdulillah it turned out cute as I hoped it will be ;). Now who doesn't adore babies and owls? :)

P/s : I've got something on my mind actually for a collaboration sale but still much to work thru the details. Insha Allah when the timing is right, I'll update with more information, but first I must make readymade shoes/babysets for that occasion aite! huhuhu..please keep me in your du'a, jazakallahu khayr :)

Lil' Baby Panda Set..

Finally I made it back here, lol..I hope you all are in well and happy insha Allah..so last two weeks I received a pm on FB from a mother-to-be (which is due in a couple of weeks) for a customize Panda crochet baby set. This was my first attempt crocheting something with a feature, usually it was just a plain or mix color kind of customisation. After going thru' google and youtube, I found a simple pattern online from tampabaycrochet. So I made her a set of matching earflap hat, a pair of booties and a diaper cover. All in co-ordinating colors of a panda; black and white! Alhamdulillah it turned out very very and I must say very CUTE!!! What makes it more special is that these cuties will be making its transit to Singapore, my first international order! Which makes me more excited and grateful at the same time cuz I've always dreamt about making an order for the people outside of my country, and now it's turning into reality. One small step for me, one giant leap to the border for my lil' crochet panda I'd must say hehehe..but above it all thank you Allah for the blessings and the people around me (here online and outside) who always supported and believed in me. So I'm sharing now some of the cuteness of the lil' baby panda set that I was talking about, hope you enjoy looking at them cuties 😍😍😍

Remember, for orders and such just email or WhatsApp me!

First international order, praying for more to come under God's willing :)

Another week of custom orders ;))

Been thru quite a productive week last week. But nothing is more satisfying knowing the results of what you design and make put a smile on others'. My heart is somewhere up there in cloud nine hehehe ;))

As requested by the customer, she substitute the turquoise top layer with lilac instead. I must say it gives a good taste of combo sweetness to our cute pouches. These two cuties is on its way to their new owner ;))

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whilst this next photos you are about to see are specially custom made for a close relative. She wanted a matching set of tote bag with a book casing (which can fit about 4-5 normal size note book, i meant the one with the hard cover) fully lined and closes up with an attachment of velcro. Love the looks of how the brown checkered gingham goes well with the highlighted green floral prints as the lining.
My hope is that she will be pleased with it!!!
Well, if any of you happen to see anything you adore here, please let me know. Just drop me an email or WhatsApp me at your convinience.
Thank you for your support ;))
